Full Arch Implant Rehabilitation for Severe Periodontitis – Upper & Lower Jaw

A 53-year-old female patient presented to Pristine Dental, Chandigarh, with multiple missing teeth, severe periodontitis, significant bone loss, and several mobile teeth. She had difficulty chewing comfortably and was also concerned about the appearance of her smile.

After a detailed clinical and radiographic evaluation, the remaining teeth were assessed for their long-term prognosis. Due to the extent of periodontal damage, tooth mobility, and compromised supporting bone, a comprehensive full arch implant rehabilitation was planned for both the upper and lower jaws.

The treatment involved placement of 12 dental implants across both arches, followed by a fixed full-arch prosthetic rehabilitation. A titanium-milled Malo-type framework/prosthesis was used to provide a strong and stable foundation, with PFM (porcelain-fused-to-metal) DMLS crowns for the final restoration.

The completed rehabilitation was designed to restore not only the patient’s ability to chew and function comfortably but also the overall appearance and harmony of her smile.
